You’ve seen the Blaze AI ads, I’m sure. Maybe I can help you decide if it’s worth it?
We’ve been using it for a month now, and it’s a good tool with some caveats. It’s not a conversational AI so don’t expect it to be. The way it works is it guides you through every step of writing an article while generating whatever you will let it. You start by choosing the type of content you want (Blog, Newsletter… they have A LOT of options). Then, you have the choice to generate or fill in yourself the style, tell him which reference material to take from and how long it should be.
From there, it gives you for example the blog post you want. And, honestly, the blog posts are pretty great! Definitely better than ChatGPT. But that’s where it gets complicated. They claim to let you transform that content in anything you want almost instantly. In fact, it’s a big selling point…
Except that it’s not really that good at that in some instances. Going from Tiktok script content to a blog post, it does pretty well even though not the first time. Matter of fact, you often have to go back and edit the prompt because it adds a lot of garbage as it mixes your tiktok content with reference material you give it, thinking you want to use both as much as possible.
So you have to edit the prompt, not that bad. But here’s where Blaze can’t stand alone today. If you try creating a newsletter, it suddenly can’t use properly the reference material and since it’s not conversational, it’s almost impossible to tell him a certain style you want or just really to have your newsletter sound more human. I’m sure if you’re not looking to do anything more than a very standard newsletter that’s fine, but that doesn’t work very well these days.
And this brings my to my conclusion… in terms of content marketing strategy, optimizing and creating quality content as efficiently as possible, they killed it. You most likely will face challenges with some form of content at some point like I did, and that sucks, but for everything else it brings, I don’t mind.
In the end, we pulled the content from that Tiktok script and had good ol’ GPT write our newsletter based on a template we defined. GPT killed it.
Blaze alone isn’t there yet, but with GPT, they make a killer combo I definitely recommend.
For now, we’ll continue using it as there’s no better alternative, and yes that includes ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.
